Senator Mullin agrees with Trump’s call for GOP unity, tells Newsmax it is the right message.
During a meeting with Senate Republicans, former President Donald Trump emphasized the importance of party unity, according to Sen. Markwayne Mullin in an interview with Newsmax on Saturday.
Trump acknowledged that while there may be disagreements on certain issues, the priority should be on working together to win races, said Mullin on Newsmax’s “America Right Now.” The Oklahoma Republican stressed the need for all Republicans to support each other in winning Senate races, despite any divisions within the party.
Mullin also expressed concerns about the increasing number of known terrorists apprehended at the southern border since President Joe Biden took office. He highlighted the arrest of eight individuals with ties to the Islamic State group, emphasizing that national security should be a top priority for the Biden administration.
Additionally, Mullin addressed the controversy surrounding Hunter Biden’s laptop and the FBI’s recent admission that its contents were not Russian disinformation. He called for accountability within the Department of Justice and the FBI, stressing the importance of trustworthiness and transparency in government agencies.
