Senator Paul confirms scientist’s affirmation of gain-of-function research in Wuhan
In a Wednesday interview on Newsmax, Senator Rand Paul from Kentucky accused Dr. Anthony Fauci of avoiding responsibility for funding gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. This accusation was based on revelations from a prominent scientist and ongoing investigations.
Senator Paul highlighted significant findings related to the origins of COVID-19 and Dr. Fauci’s involvement in funding gain-of-function research.
“This is a major issue,” emphasized Paul during his appearance on “Rob Schmitt Tonight.”
He went on to discuss the statements made by scientist Ralph Baric, a leading expert on coronaviruses, who claimed that the research conducted was indeed gain-of-function research, contradicting Fauci’s denial.
Paul criticized Fauci for denying the nature of the research and avoiding accountability for funding research that potentially led to a pandemic.
Regarding the lack of opposition from Democrats on Wuhan funding, Paul expressed his surprise and acknowledged some Democrats in the House COVID committee who advocated to cease funding for EcoHealth.
He welcomed the Biden administration’s decision to stop taxpayer funding for EcoHealth and emphasized ongoing efforts to uncover more evidence, including information revealed through Freedom of Information Act requests and discussions with the House COVID committee.
