Senator Tim Scott Accuses Biden of Believing Debate Moderators Will ‘Intervene’

Senator Tim Scott stated on Sunday that President Joe Biden is seeking a one-on-one debate against former President Donald Trump, excluding independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Biden believes that moderators will intervene on his behalf during the debate, according to Scott.

“It is concerning that Joe Biden is setting the rules for the debate,” said Scott, a Republican from South Carolina who is reportedly being considered as a potential running mate for Trump, during an interview with Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

“President Trump, on the other hand, is willing to debate anywhere, anytime, and anyplace because he is confident he can expose Biden’s lies, specifically in areas like inflation, the border, and crime, which are crucial issues for the future of our country,” Scott added.

Scott highlighted the need for tax cuts to combat inflation as the most pressing issue that Trump could address. He noted that there is a potential for the largest tax increase in American history in 2025 under Biden’s plan, while Trump advocates for keeping taxes low to benefit the average American.

Scott also pointed out the challenges faced by first-time home buyers, with mortgage rates exceeding 7%, compared to around 3% during Trump’s presidency, which he described as “devastating.”

Regarding Trump’s choice of a running mate, Scott emphasized the importance of focusing on the issues rather than the individual. However, he criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her handling of the border crisis and the economy under Biden’s administration.

Scott, who has personal experience of overcoming poverty through entrepreneurship, emphasized the value of conservative economic principles in driving growth and prosperity.
