President-elect Donald Trump issued a stern warning on Monday, stating that there would be “all hell to pay” in the Middle East if Hamas fails to release all of the remaining hostages in Gaza before his inauguration in January.

Trump, who has previously urged Israel to seek a resolution to the conflict in Gaza before he takes office, made his most serious threat yet against the organization, asserting that the U.S. would directly get involved in the Middle Eastern conflict if his demands are not fulfilled.

“Everybody is talking about the hostages who are being held so violently, inhumanely, and against the will of the whole world in the Middle East – but all we have is talk, and no action!” Trump stated on Truth Social.

“This TRUTH should serve as a declaration that if the hostages are not released by January 20, 2025, when I proudly take on the role of President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, particularly for those responsible for these heinous acts against humanity,” he continued.

“Those culpable will face consequences greater than anyone has faced in the extensive history of the United States. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW!”

Trump’s warning followed reports from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirming that hostage Omer Neutra, had been killed by Hamas during the October 7th attacks on Israel.

Initially thought to be alive, it was later revealed by the IDF that Neutra was among the 35 individuals whose bodies are still held in Gaza alongside 62 living hostages.

Additionally, Hamas continues to retain the remains of three other Israeli-Americans and it is believed that three more Israeli-Americans are still alive.

The Biden administration, which has sought a cease-fire agreement aimed at releasing the hostages for the past year, is unlikely to finalize an arrangement for their freedom before the end of its term next month.

This responsibility will likely shift to Trump, who has persistently urged both Israel and Hamas to conclude the conflict prior to his return to the White House.

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) indicated that Trump’s position remains firm on resolving the Gaza conflict before he resumes the presidency, as reported by Axios.

“Trump is more determined than ever to facilitate the release of hostages and endorses a cease-fire that entails a hostage agreement. He wants to see it happening immediately,” Graham relayed to the publication.

According to the Times of Israel, during a recent conversation between Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the 47th president reportedly set a firm deadline of January 20th, 2025, for concluding the conflict.
