Sinema Slams Allocation of Border Funds: New York Receives More Than Arizona
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, who left the Democratic Party, is angry that the sanctuary state of New York is receiving more border funding than Arizona. Sinema blames Democratic leaders Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer for driving more money to their state. She argues that it is unfair for New York to receive more funding when it is a sanctuary state that attracts illegal migrants, while Arizona has to deal with the migrants crossing the border. Sinema warns that it will be difficult to get more funding approved now that New York has received a large portion of the funds. She believes it is wrong and outrageous that New York is getting preferential treatment. Other Democratic senators from border states, such as Mark Kelly, also criticize the decision to allocate more funding to New York instead of border communities.
