Six Injured in Bronx Shooting; Suspects Still at Large – One America News Network

A mass shooting in the Bronx has left six people injured, including a 12-year-old girl and her 40-year-old mother.

The New York Police Department reports that the girl, her mother, and four men were shot at 3544 White Plains Road just before 5:00 p.m.
Authorities indicated that the mother, who was shopping with her daughter at the time, was used as a human shield by one of the intended targets during the shooting.
According to the NYPD, two suspects are believed to be responsible and they fled the scene immediately after the shooting, heading north on White Plains Road.
“Tonight, in the Gun Hill section of the Bronx, we had a brazen and heartless attack by two shooters who opened fire in the middle of the street and into a crowded convenience store, striking six individuals, including a 40-year-old mother and her 12-year-old daughter who were used as shields during the attack,” stated NYPD interim Chief of Department John Chell.
Detectives are currently canvassing the area for any video evidence that may help identify the shooters. Some minor ballistic evidence was found at the scene, although further details were not disclosed.
No suspects have been arrested thus far. The investigation continues, and the motive behind the shooting remains unclear to the police.
