Former President Joe Biden is reported to have taken 577 of his 1,463 days in office as vacation, marking more time off than any other modern U.S. president.

According to a dataset released by the Republican National Committee (RNC), Biden spent nearly 40% of his time as president on vacation, while former President Donald Trump took 381 days off during his first term, which is about 26%.
To match the vacation time that President Biden has taken during his presidency, an average American would need to work for nearly 13 years.
“Given the chaos his misguided policies have caused, from border issues to inflation, just imagine the repercussions if he had worked full time?” remarked Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-N.Y.). “Should we be upset or grateful that he worked so little?”
Biden’s vacation time surpasses that of George H.W. Bush, who previously held the record with 37% of his presidency spent on vacation.
After suspending his campaign on July 21st, Biden notably increased his vacation time, taking 43 days off in the next 70 days.
The statistics support Biden’s critics, who have consistently claimed that his age and mental capacity have rendered him unsuitable for another presidential term.
Much of Biden’s time off was spent at his vacation homes in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, along with Camp David and his residence in Wilmington, Delaware.
“Thanks to the message sent by voters in November, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are now effectively on a permanent vacation,” said RNC Communications Director Zach Parkinson. “And because of President Trump, our country is back on track.”
