Son of Conservative Activist Sentenced to Four Years for Involvement in January 6th Events

A well-known conservative activist’s son has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison for his involvement in the U.S. Capitol riot, where he broke a window, pursued a police officer, and entered the Senate floor.

Leo Brent Bozell IV, 44, from Palmyra, Pennsylvania, was one of the first individuals to enter the Capitol and was among the first to reach the Senate floor during the January 6, 2021, attack.

Bozell’s father, L. Brent Bozell III, is the founder of the Media Research Center, the Parents Television Council, and other conservative media organizations.

Before being sentenced to three years and nine months in prison by U.S. District Judge John Bates, Bozell apologized to two Capitol police officers in the courtroom and expressed regret to his parents and wife, acknowledging that his actions have brought shame to his family.

He stated, “I don’t recognize that person in the videos. I don’t know what I was thinking.”
