Sununu and Others Refute the Belief that Trump Will Be Excluded from the NH Ballot
New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu and other state GOP leaders do not believe that efforts to prevent Donald Trump from appearing on the state’s primary ballot will be successful. Attorney Bryant Messner is pushing to keep Trump off the ballot based on Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which prohibits individuals who have engaged in rebellion against the country from holding office. Despite being a critic of Trump, Governor Sununu is not involved in Messner’s effort and believes that as long as Trump follows the same rules as other candidates, he will have ballot access. Trump is currently facing various threats regarding ballot access due to ongoing election cases. State GOP head Chris Ager is confident that all current presidential candidates will be on the ballot.
