Super PAC Reaches Signature Threshold for RFK Jr. in Arizona and Georgia
Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has gathered enough signatures to be on the ballots in swing states Arizona and Georgia, according to super PAC American Values 2024.
These two states played a crucial role in President Joe Biden’s victory over former President Donald Trump in the 2020 general election, and a rematch in November seems likely.
While it is unlikely that Kennedy will win, his presence on the ballot in these pivotal battleground states could impact the outcome.
“The grassroots energy and momentum give us more confidence than ever in our ability to knock out the remaining states on our list of states quickly,” said American Values 2024 co-founder Tony Lyons in a statement reported by CNN.
Lyons also mentioned that the remaining states on their list are Michigan, South Carolina, Maryland, California, West Virginia, Indiana, Texas, Illinois, New York, and Massachusetts in an interview with Just the News.
In December, the super PAC announced they would spend $10-15 million to help Kennedy gather the required signatures for ballot access.
Although Kennedy is currently only on the ballot in Utah, his campaign has collected enough signatures to appear in New Hampshire and Hawaii. He aims to be on the ballot in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
The Democratic National Committee filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission against Kennedy’s campaign and American Values 2024, alleging improper benefits from the super PAC’s work to get his name on state ballots. This move came after the DNC learned that the super PAC would fund access efforts in five more states, according to NBC News.
The DNC argues that this violates federal law and constitutes an illegal contribution to the Kennedy campaign.
