Supporters of Trump Are Unable to Approach Courthouse

Former President Donald Trump expressed concern on Monday morning about his supporters being kept at a distance from the Manhattan courthouse where his criminal trial is taking place.

Upon arriving at the courthouse and before Judge Juan Merchan began the proceedings, Trump addressed the issue.

“The actions of this judge are disgraceful, as we have thousands of supporters … we had a hundred thousand people in New Jersey … they want to show their support,” remarked Trump, who recently hosted a large rally in Wildwood, New Jersey.

“The area outside is like an armed camp. No one is allowed within three blocks of the courthouse.”

Sens. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, and Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., were present among the crowd behind Trump as he spoke to reporters.

Trump also mentioned recent polls by The New York Times, Siena College, and Philadelphia Inquirer showing him leading President Joe Biden in five out of six key swing states.

“The focus today seems to be on The Times,” Trump commented. “Whether they are happy or not, I appreciate them publishing the results: Trump is leading by a significant margin in every state. Every swing state, leading significantly.”

Trump expressed his frustration with being in the courthouse all day, stating that he should be out campaigning instead.

“This is a politically motivated prosecution orchestrated by the Biden administration,” Trump alleged. “This is election interference on a scale never seen before in the United States. This belongs to a third-world country, not the USA.”

Trump is facing accusations of falsifying business documents to conceal hush-money payments to adult film actor Stormy Daniels.
