Survey: 44% of Israelis Prefer Trump as President, According to Channel 12 Poll



According to a Channel 12 poll released on Tuesday, 44% of Israelis support former U.S. President Donald Trump for the upcoming election, while 30% would prefer current leader Joe Biden to win a second term.

Of the respondents, 26% stated that they were undecided on their preferred candidate.

Breaking it down further, 72% of respondents who voted for parties in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition favored Trump, with only 8% choosing Biden. In contrast, 55% of those who voted for parties in the Israeli opposition supported Biden, while 23% preferred Trump.

The poll surveyed 504 Israelis with a maximum sampling error of 4.4 percentage points.

Both Trump and Biden secured their respective party nominations in the primaries on Tuesday, setting the stage for a rematch of the 2020 election.
