Trump revealed that actors Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone would take on the roles of his special envoys to Hollywood, tasked with revitalizing an industry that has experienced a significant downturn in production recently.

“I am proud to announce that Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone will serve as Special Ambassadors to the great yet troubled Hollywood, California. Their mission is to bring Hollywood, which has lost much business to foreign countries over the past four years, BACK–BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!” Trump stated.

“These three extremely talented individuals will serve as my eyes and ears, and I will ensure that their recommendations are implemented. We will once again experience, like The United States itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!” he added.

The Los Angeles film industry is reportedly facing challenges in keeping filmmakers motivated to shoot films in the area due to high production taxes, living costs, and the increasing competition from film incentive programs in other states and countries.

Mel Gibson, a seasoned Hollywood actor and filmmaker known for directing “The Passion of the Christ,” expressed his support for Trump during the 2024 election, while criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris. He made recent appearances on Fox News, condemning California’s Democratic leadership in light of the ongoing L.A. County fires.

“I don’t think it’s gonna surprise anyone who I vote for,” Gibson remarked to a cameraman just days before the election at Los Angeles International Airport.

“I know what it’ll be like if we let her in,” Gibson added. “That ain’t good. A miserable track record, an appalling track record, no policies to speak of, and she’s got the IQ of a fence post.”

Sylvester Stallone, famous for roles in the “Rocky” and “Rambo” franchises, previously compared Trump to the “second George Washington” during a speech at the America First Policy Institute Gala in November.

“We are in the presence of a truly mythical character. No one in the world could have accomplished what he has, and I am in awe,” Stallone expressed.

“When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he would change the world. Without him, can you imagine what the world would look like today? Congratulations, we have a second George Washington!”

Jon Voight, a conservative actor recognized for his roles in “Midnight Cowboy” and “Varsity Blues,” has long been a vocal supporter of Trump, receiving a National Medal of Arts from him during his first term. Voight’s daughter is actress Angelina Jolie, although they have an estranged relationship.

Voight has previously claimed that Trump is the “greatest president since Abraham Lincoln” during his first term.

“Don’t be misled by the political left. We, the people of this nation, are witnessing triumph,” Voight stated in a 2019 post on X.

“So let us stand with our president and for the truth that President Trump is the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln. God bless America,” he concluded.
