The Clintons to Make an Appearance at Another Biden Fundraiser
Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be the headline guests at a June fundraiser for President Joe Biden.
The event is set to take place on June 18 at the home of former Gov. Terry McAuliffe in McLean, Virginia. McAuliffe, a former Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairman who ran presidential campaigns for both Clintons, will host the event.
First lady Jill Biden will also be in attendance at the event, which will consist of a reception followed by a more exclusive dinner, according to Axios.
In March, Bill Clinton and former President Barack Obama attended a fundraiser in New York City that raised $25 million for Biden (source).
Last week, it was reported that Biden and Obama will attend a Los Angeles fundraiser for the 2024 reelection campaign on June 15. The event will feature Jimmy Kimmel moderating a conversation with Biden and Obama, along with appearances by George Clooney and Julia Roberts.
Recent reports show that Trump outraised Biden in April, marking the first time the former president has raised more funds than the current president in a month.
Despite being outraised, Biden’s campaign ended the month of April with $192 million cash-on-hand, a record for a Democratic presidential candidate at this stage in the election cycle.
Trump received public support from Blackstone CEO and co-founder Stephen Schwarzman, citing concerns about antisemitism and Biden’s policies (source).
The upcoming debate between Biden and Trump is scheduled for June 27 in Atlanta and will be televised by CNN.
