“The Democrats’ Illusion of Democracy” – Newsmax.com

Compared to the ease of authoritarianism, democracy can be far messier, and — in our particular style, comprised of representatives from across this vast nation — take far greater effort to administer.

Preserving our democratic values at times has proven to be a challenging task, in part because of our allowance, and encouragement of, counterthought activism. While I may disagree vehemently on many policy issues with my liberal counterparts in Congress, I respect their right to champion the perspectives they defend.

However, I passionately rebuke those who espouse that violating the liberties of others to inculcate their own political theology as a seemingly courageous and patriotic defense of democracy.

Leading up to the 2022 midterm elections, Joe Biden declared, “Democracy is on the ballot for all of us,” and he was right, but not in the way he intended. It is said that if a lie is said enough, it will be taken as truth, and so follows the mantra of the Democratic book of business.

Had Democrats retained control of the House of Representatives, the Biden Administration would have been able to force its sweeping anti-democratic agenda of discriminatory equity policies, unrealistic climate mandates, and abuse of taxpayer resources with little resistance. Worse yet, the corruption of a vice president, later president, who sold his position for profit, would be pages in never-written history book.

In a few months, we will reach the fourth anniversary of the shutdown of the U.S. Capitol Complex by then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., under the guise of protection, so that she, and only she, would dictate all policy and workings of Congress.

While a pause in how society operated at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic was justified, revoking Americans’ right to petition their government and meet with their representatives was not.

Singularly, her shutting down Congress, without a transparent plan to mitigate risk and reopen swiftly, demonstrated to the world that America’s system of democracy is only one period of hardship away from demise. Her decision, an ultimate abuse of power, wreaks not of a representative government but rather that of an authoritarian.

Democrats capitalized on the pandemic to usurp power and trample the rights and liberties of Americans. They did so feigning patriotism while, in reality, it was a glimpse behind the curtain of their ultimate prize, complete power over the people.

Even when new data plowed gaping holes in their beloved mask and vaccine mandates, they stuck their nose up high, reciting the arrogance of “I wear, I care” platitudes assuming they alone knew what was best for us.

President Biden’s administration has taken the privilege of “rulemaking” to a hypersonic level. A crackdown on gas stoves, dishwashers, speed limits on boats in the open sea, and a de facto mandate that everyone must transition to electric vehicles.

Everyone must comply with the myopic vision of extreme, climate proselytes to save the planet, while China, the world’s chief polluter, rakes in hundreds of billions of dollars in manufacturing. American liberals would rather offshore jobs to countries with negligible environmental and labor protections to feel they are changing the future. Laws. Rules. Dictums. No true representation. It is authoritarianism.

The progressive left is spearheaded by a hyper-liberal base, out of touch with the average American, and it seeks to change the foundations that this nation was built upon. Despite inflation, health care affordability, and divisive partisanship being the top concerns of Americans today, the Democrat political machine is focused on hyperbolic threats to democracy.

“Don’t believe what you see, believe what we tell you.”

In historic and unprecedented moves, Democrats across the country are attempting to disqualify Republicans from appearing on their ballots — a chief method used by despots in elections to secure their continued power.

Meanwhile, President Biden’s first 2024 campaign ad focuses on domestic partisanship and individual alienations, fearmongering about voting rights and veritable fabrications that his candidacy is the only way to save the nation from plummeting into the darkness of fascism.

American democracy is indeed strained. However, the charge that President Biden and the left are valiantly taking on a diabolical opposition that wishes to uproot democracy is beyond the absurd.

The Democratic Party’s agenda, whose theology preaches increased state control, haphazard application of the rule of law, and vicious partisan attacks, are the ones in fact attempting to destroy our nation’s democratic values.

Their embrace of moral relativism, promulgation of falsehoods and unquestionable edicts are the real threat to our nation’s experiment in democracy.
