Thomas More Society Pledges to Appeal Conviction of Lauren Handy
Pro-life advocate Lauren Handy and four co-defendants have been found guilty of felony federal civil rights conspiracy and Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act offenses after illegally blockading a Washington, D.C., abortion facility in 2020. The Thomas More Society, representing Handy, has criticized the “biased” federal court verdict and plans to appeal the decision. The defendants face potential prison time, supervised release, and fines. The other four defendants are scheduled for trial next week.
