Tim Scott tells Newsmax that Mideast violence is the result of Biden’s failure to fulfill his duties
Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., told Newsmax on Monday that Iran’s attack on Israel on Saturday is another example of President Joe Biden’s neglect of duty concerning Middle East foreign policy.
Despite President Joe Biden warning Iran not to, the Islamic regime attacked Israel on Saturday with over 300 drones and missiles. Luckily, Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system, with assistance from the U.S., Britain, France, and Jordan, intercepted most of them.
“Here’s what we know about Joe Biden,” Scott said on “Rob Schmitt Tonight.” “His weakness invites conflict and chaos. During Donald Trump’s presidency, strength in the Middle East led to the Abraham Accords, which even this past weekend played a role in Arab nations supporting Israel.
“The contrast between the two presidents is stark, with Joe Biden’s dereliction of duty being shameful, disgusting, and leading to violence both at home and abroad. It’s unacceptable.”
Scott criticized Biden for empowering Iran by releasing billions of dollars in frozen assets, including $6 billion for five American detainees, and easing sanctions on Iran’s oil exports.
“To stop violence in the Middle East and prevent a Jewish genocide, you need to hit them where it hurts,” Scott, a possible running mate for Trump in November, stated. “What you don’t do is release billions of dollars or relax oil sanctions, which make up 40% of Iran’s economy.
“You should follow the approach of Donald Trump.”
