Tommy Pigott of the RNC Tells Newsmax: Trump Calls Biden’s Bluff on Debates

According to Republican National Committee Communications Director Tommy Pigott speaking to Newsmax on Thursday, presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is a fighter who has challenged the Biden campaign.

President Joe Biden and Trump have agreed to two debates, one on June 27 hosted by CNN and the other on Sept. 10 hosted by ABC. This revised schedule comes after Biden announced his decision not to participate in the traditional fall debates organized by the nonpartisan debate commission.

Pigott expressed confidence in Trump’s ability to win these debates, pointing to Biden’s lack of energy and tendency to make gaffes.

“Joe Biden is not well-equipped for these debates,” added Pigott. “His frequent mistakes and inability to defend his record make it questionable if he can even make it to the debate stage.”

Pigott also called for more debates between the two candidates, advocating for monthly debates until the election.
