Trans Athlete Allegedly Suspended for ‘Extended Gaze’ in Locker Room
An incident involving a transgender high school athlete from Massachusetts has led to her suspension from the school rowing team. The athlete was reportedly caught staring openly at a female classmate while she was changing in the women’s locker room, as reported by The New York Post.
According to a report sent to members of the U.S. Senate’s Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, the incident occurred in 2022 at KIPP Academy in Lynn, Massachusetts. The transgender athlete was caught staring at a female athlete in the locker room and made an inappropriate remark, resulting in her suspension after being reported to the US Center for SafeSport.
The same athlete gained attention previously for knocking down a fellow player during a basketball game, causing an injury, as reported by the Australian magazine Quillette.
