Trump accepts fourth debate against Biden
Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump has confirmed his acceptance of an invitation for a fourth presidential debate with President Joe Biden.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump announced that the fourth debate will be broadcasted on NBC and Telemundo. However, the Biden administration has already rejected a third debate, let alone a fourth.
“I have agreed to participate in a fourth Presidential Debate against Crooked Joe Biden, this time with NBC & Telemundo. It is crucial for Republicans to connect with our Great Hispanic Community, which has been negatively impacted by Biden’s policies. This Fourth Debate will complement the previously accepted Presidential Debates on CNN, ABC, and Fox,” Trump stated.
The Biden campaign has agreed to participate in two of the debates mentioned by Trump – June 27 on CNN and Sept. 10 on ABC News. However, the Biden team declined an Oct. 2 debate on Fox News and is unlikely to agree to this proposed “fourth” debate.
A Biden campaign spokesperson reiterated on Wednesday, “President Biden established his terms for two one-on-one debates, and Donald Trump has accepted those terms. Enough with the games and chaos surrounding the debate negotiations.”
Despite the pushback, Trump remains steadfast in his commitment to debate.
“In addition to these debates, we have also accepted an invitation from Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum of Fox News to host the Vice Presidential Debate at Virginia State University or another location in Virginia. These are the debates that voters have been demanding, and these are the debates that voters will receive!” Trump asserted.
