Trump Accuses Fox of Being “Humiliated” by Low Debate Ratings

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign criticized Fox News for low debate ratings while boasting about the high viewership of Trump’s interview with Tucker Carlson. The Republican debate on Fox had around 12.8 million viewers, a significant decrease from 2015 when Trump first participated. Meanwhile, Trump’s interview with Carlson amassed over 250 million views. The campaign claimed that Fox News is in crisis mode and viewers were more interested in Trump’s interview. The criticism by the campaign came after Trump’s arrest in Georgia regarding allegations of attempting to overturn the 2020 election results. Trump mentioned boycotting the debate due to his lead in the polls, as he currently holds 52.4% support among GOP candidates.
