Trump Accuses Venezuela of Sending Gang Members to US
Former President Donald Trump made allegations against Venezuela and other countries, claiming that they are releasing criminals and gang members from their prisons and mental institutions and sending them to the United States.
During an interview on West Michigan Live with Justin Barclay, Trump, the presumptive 2024 GOP presidential nominee, discussed the issue of “Biden migrant crime” and vowed to conduct the “largest deportation in history” if he is re-elected in November.
Trump stated, “Now they’re coming in, they’re pouring in, the criminals from jails and from mental institutions, and terrorists, by the way, and at levels that no country has ever seen before. It’s insane what they’re doing. Insane.”
He claimed that countries like Venezuela have effectively dealt with their gang problems by sending all the gang members to the U.S.
Trump expressed his approval of this strategy and said he would adopt the same approach if he were in charge of the country. He criticized President Joe Biden, calling him the worst president the U.S. has ever had.
He also discussed the recent murder of Ruby Garcia by her illegal immigrant boyfriend, who had been deported during his administration. Trump is planning to give a speech on immigration in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he is expected to criticize Biden’s border policies.
Responding to Trump’s visit, Alyssa Bradley, the Michigan communications director for Biden’s campaign, accused Trump of sowing division and fear instead of addressing important issues facing Michiganders.
