Trump Administration Chief of Staff Cautions Against ‘Drama’ and ‘Backbiting’ in the White House – One America News Network

Susie Wiles, the incoming chief of staff for President-elect Donald Trump, has issued a clear directive that she will not permit any “drama” in the West Wing during Trump’s upcoming term.

Wiles was instrumental in Trump’s 2025 campaign, serving as co-campaign manager and has established herself as one of Trump’s most trusted confidants.
“I do not welcome individuals who intend to work independently or seek the spotlight,” she emphasized. “My team and I will not accept backstabbing, inappropriate second-guessing, or unnecessary drama. These behaviors hinder our mission.”
“At my core, I believe in teamwork. Anyone who cannot contribute to a collaborative environment and stay focused on our common objectives will not have a place in the West Wing,” Wiles asserted. “It’s uncomplicated — establish goals and timelines for the team, and then strive to exceed them. It’s simple, yet it proved effective during the campaign.”
Referencing Trump’s first term, characterized by “impeachment attempts and various witch hunts,” Wiles highlighted that such conduct will not be accepted as she steps into her new role. Notably, she will be the first woman to serve as chief of staff in U.S. history.
“I sincerely hope that the 47th administration will not face as many attempts to obstruct our efforts. We are beginning with a swift pace in congressional work, recruiting top talent, initiating discussions with world leaders, refining his policy agenda, and preparing for the first 100 days,” Wiles commented, noting Trump’s enhanced understanding of how “Washington functions.”
The new chief of staff elaborated on how Trump’s subsequent term will be different, emphasizing the importance of having both capable and loyal personnel.
During his initial term, Trump noted that he encountered numerous officials who failed to fulfill their responsibilities or simply “lacked the requisite skills” for their positions. However, following their dismissals, some of these individuals turned to mainstream media to criticize Trump and accuse him of “falsehoods,” as he described, without substantiating their claims.
As reported by NBC News, eight current and former White House sources revealed that former Chief of Staff John Kelly had lowered morale in the West Wing by denigrating Trump’s intelligence and presenting himself as the nation’s savior, which came across as delusional, narcissistic, and disloyal.
“He says things that are unbelievable,” said one former White House official, according to NBC News. “He’ll make statements that leave you thinking, ‘That is not appropriate for you to say.’”
In interviews from October 2024, Kelly, a retired Marine General, described Trump’s management style as “dictatorial,” “fascist,” and emotionally deficient, indicating that his dismissal had evidently affected his psyche and inflated his ego.
Wiles continued to detail the approach for this upcoming term.
“He has been actively involved in hiring,” Wiles noted. “He met with prospective Cabinet leadership and communicated his priorities for White House and agency staff. We established timelines and held ourselves accountable for the deadlines we set. President Trump’s 47th term will be staffed with exceptional public servants who possess a strong work ethic, a proven ability to dismantle bureaucratic barriers to ensure accountability in the expansive federal workforce, and a commitment to the conservative principles that enabled President Trump’s victory, bent on making a meaningful impact during their service. We are aware of the time we have — there is much to accomplish.”
Moreover, Trump has commended Wiles for her exceptional leadership qualities and humility, particularly as she chose not to take the stage on Election Night, despite Trump’s encouragement to do so.
“Susie prefers to maintain a low profile, let me tell you!” Trump remarked on Election Night. “The Ice Maiden. We refer to her as the Ice Maiden.”
Wiles emphasized that the most pivotal period for the new administration will be between the inauguration and the 2026 midterm elections, as Republicans gain full control of the House, Senate, and the Oval Office.
