Trump Administration Discloses Millions in Funding from U.S. Federal Agencies to Left-Wing ‘Politico’ Outlet – One America News Network

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), under the Trump administration and led by Elon Musk, has disclosed that the federal government has been funding the progressive media outlet Politico with a staggering $8.2 million in subsidies.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that the federal government had been “effectively subsidizing subscriptions to Politico using taxpayer money.”
“The DOGE is currently working to halt these payments,” she elaborated. “This effort aims to audit the federal government’s expenditures line by line. The President and his team are evaluating whether these subsidies align with the interests of the American populace.”
Additionally, it was revealed that Politico also received a minimum of $44,000 from USAID last year, along with millions from various federal organizations, including the Department of Health and Human Services, which contributed $1.37 million.
Moreover, $1.35 million was disbursed from the Department of the Interior, as per records on the USASPENDING website.
On social media, users on Politico‘s official Instagram account and X shared their reactions to the news.
“It’s not just a waste; they’ve essentially been funded by Democrats to mislead the American public with endless lies, misinformation, and propaganda. If you’ve ever wondered why the media has always favored the Biden administration and deflected criticism, this is the reason,” commented one user on X.
Besides Politico, AP News has faced allegations of receiving taxpayer money, although this claim has yet to be verified.
Recently, Trump and Musk pledged to reduce funding from USAID, a $40 billion agency that has been accused of money laundering and collaborating with Democratic officials and their affiliates.
A significant portion of the federal funds was allocated to Politico Pro, which charges approximately $10,000 annually for providing “non-partisan, real-time intelligence tailored to specific policy areas.”

Responding to these revelations, Musk confirmed that the government will cease providing federal funding to the outlet henceforth.
“This is a clear misuse of taxpayer funds!” Musk expressed in a post on X.
Politico has been known for its antagonistic stance towards Trump during his presidency, previously suggesting that the Hunter Biden laptop controversy bore all the “hallmarks” of “Russian disinformation,” thereby aligning itself with the Biden administration.
Musk’s push to terminate Politico‘s funding is part of a broader initiative to uncover corruption and eliminate waste from federal expenditures, with the IRS potentially being the next agency under scrutiny for an audit.
