Former President Donald Trump responded to the use of the 14th Amendment to block a president from running in an election by accusing President Joe Biden of “election interference” and abusing his power. Trump claimed that the indictments and lawsuits against him were orchestrated by the Biden campaign to rig the election. He criticized Biden’s use of the American justice system against political rivals and warned of the decline of American politics. Trump also mentioned the possibility of Republicans retaliating against Biden and the Democrats in the future. Sen. Tim Kaine suggested that the federal government could use the 14th Amendment to remove Trump from the 2024 ballot. Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund claimed that Nancy Pelosi delayed sending in the National Guard during the Capitol attack. Trump also criticized prosecutors he deemed incompetent and highlighted the high crime rates in Atlanta and Fulton County, blaming RINO Governor Brian Kemp.
