Trump and Biden Host Rival London Fundraisers

According to Financial Times, supporters of President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump held simultaneous fundraisers in Great Britain on Wednesday evening.

The Trump event, hosted by actor and singer Holly Valance, featured former U.S. ambassadors and a dinner reception with Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle at a private residence in London. Nigel Farage, Ric Grenell, and Woody Johnson were also in attendance. Eligible donors had to be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and the event raised $2 million through ticket sales and donations, with more expected throughout the night.

In a statement, Donald Trump Jr. expressed excitement about the support they have received from American citizens globally and their readiness to “Make America Great Again” in November.

On the other hand, the Biden fundraiser, hosted by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, was expected to cost $1,000 per plate. The Biden campaign continues to hold a substantial cash advantage over Trump, but the former president is reportedly closing the gap with significant fundraising efforts.
