On the evening of January 20, 2025, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump enjoyed a heartfelt dance at the Commander-in-Chief Ball, marking the beginning of his second term in office.

The inaugural ball not only celebrated the couple but also honored U.S. military personnel.

Melania captivated attendees in a stunning black-and-white strapless gown, reportedly created by Hervé Pierre, a notable French-American designer.

After their enchanting dance, Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance joined the president and first lady, along with several armed forces members, to partake in a waltz ensemble.

“Serving as your commander-in-chief is the greatest privilege of my life, not just once but twice,” Trump expressed to the enthusiastic audience.

During the ball, organizers facilitated a live video call with U.S. service members stationed in South Korea.

“How is Kim Jong Un doing?” Trump humorously inquired as the feed appeared on the large screen.

“I’ve built quite a good rapport with him, but he sure is a tough cookie,” the president quipped.

As the event came to a close, Trump was presented with a large sword to cut a substantial cake decorated with his envisioned design for Air Force One—the official aircraft designated for the U.S. president.

“Does anyone want a piece of cake?” Trump asked with a smile.

He then started dancing to the lively tune of “YMCA” by the Village People, sword still in hand.

This was the first of three inaugural balls attended by the Trump couple following the presidential inauguration.
