In a pregame chat with Fox News‘ Bret Baier on Sunday, Trump expressed his belief that the Chiefs will prevail over the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I hate to do it,” Trump remarked. “But I’ve been watching this fantastic quarterback who, by the way, has an amazing wife. She’s a Trump supporter, she’s a MAGA supporter. So I have a lot of admiration for her.”

“When a quarterback has achieved as much as he has, I must go with Kansas City — I have to support Kansas City. However, Philadelphia is truly outstanding,” he added.

This marks a historic occasion as President Trump becomes the first sitting U.S. president to attend the Super Bowl.

“I’m quite surprised to learn that; I would have thought many presidents attended,” Trump said to Baier. “However, I believe that given the spirit of the nation… I thought it would be a positive thing for the country to have the president present.”

“This is an iconic day. It’s going to be a major game featuring two great teams. Let’s see how it unfolds; I’m a big admirer of both teams,” Trump stated. “Philadelphia boasts one of the greatest running backs, Saquon [Barkley]. You know, Saquon has an uncle who was a legendary fighter.”

Alongside the president will be his children Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump and her son, as well as Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum. They will be joined by Senators Dave McCormick (R-Pa.), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), Tim Scott (R-SC), Katie Britt (R-Ala.), Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), Roger Marshall (R-Kan.), and Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.).
