On Sunday, Trump shared his announcement in a post on Truth Social.
“Alina has been an unwavering advocate for Justice, a formidable Defender of the Rule of Law, and an indispensable Advisor to my Campaign and Transition Team,” Trump stated in his Truth Social post. “She has shown remarkable loyalty and unmatched determination – standing with me throughout numerous ‘trials,’ conflicts, and countless court appearances.”
Trump further emphasized that few people comprehend the weaponization of the “injustice” system like Habba does.
“As a first-generation American of Middle Eastern heritage, she has emerged as a role model for women in Law and Politics, most recently honored as Chaldean Woman of the Year,” Trump added. “Congratulations to Alina, her husband Gregg, and their three wonderful children, Chloe, Luke, and Parker.”
Habba then took to X, sharing the president-elect’s post and expressing, “It is the honor of my life to serve the 45th and 47th President of the American people.”
Habba is also recognized for representing the president-elect in both his New York civil fraud case and the Manhattan hush money investigation.
Additionally, Trump announced the nomination of Christopher Landau to serve as Deputy Secretary of State.
He mentioned that Landau will collaborate with Secretary of State nominee Marco Rubio to advance the nation’s security and prosperity through an America-first foreign policy.
“Chris served as my Ambassador to Mexico, where he worked diligently with our team to minimize illegal migration to historic lows,” Trump stated. “He is also one of our country’s distinguished lawyers and has clerked for both Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas on the United States Supreme Court.”
Moreover, he announced that Michael Needham will take on the role of counselor of the Department of State, while Michael Anton will direct policy planning within the State Department.
