Trump assures Christian Group of making a comeback with him

Former President Donald Trump addressed an anti-abortion Christian advocacy group on Monday, highlighting his commitment to representing their interests if they supported him.

“These are challenging times for our nation, and your work is crucial. We cannot afford to have anyone on the sidelines,” Trump stressed in a video message to the Danbury Institute’s Life & Liberty Forum. “Now is the time for us to unite, to stand up for our shared values and freedoms. It is imperative that we do not vote Democrat.”

While Trump did not directly mention abortion in the approximately two-minute video, he did promise to defend “innocent life.” He also criticized President Joe Biden and accused Democrats of being “against religion.”

“We must protect religious liberty, free speech, innocent life, and the heritage and tradition that made America the greatest nation in the world,” he stated. “Unfortunately, we are now a nation in decline.”

“I see the dedication each of you has in upholding these values daily, and I look forward to standing by your side for the next four years. These will be your years, as you will bounce back like few other groups can,” Trump added.
