Trump calls for drug testing of Biden ahead of debates

Donald Trump, the Republican presumptive nominee, reaffirmed on Thursday that he is willing to debate President Joe Biden “anywhere, anytime.” However, Trump also expressed his desire for the president to undergo a drug test, suggesting that Biden appeared to be under the influence during his State of the Union address last month.

In a comprehensive interview with conservative talk show host Hugh Hewitt, Trump voiced his doubts about Biden’s willingness to debate and raised concerns about the discovery of cocaine in the White House last July.

“I believe that white substance found in the White House, which turned out to be cocaine, raises some suspicions. I watched the State of the Union address, and he seemed extremely energized at the beginning,” Trump told Hewitt. “But towards the end, he seemed to be losing steam. There’s definitely something fishy going on. I’m ready to debate, but I think Biden should be drug tested. I demand a drug test.”

When Hewitt asked if Trump was implying that Biden was using cocaine, Trump responded, “I’m not sure what he’s using, but it was clear that he was not himself. He seemed to be intoxicated. And let me tell you, that was the worst State of the Union address I’ve ever seen. He does not represent us properly.”

“But clearly, he’s getting some sort of assistance, because most of the time, he looks like he’s about to fall asleep. Then suddenly, he comes alive and delivers a poorly executed speech,” Trump added.

The Secret Service was unable to determine the source of the cocaine found in the White House last July. It was discovered in a West Wing entry area while President Joe Biden, along with his wife Jill Biden and son Hunter Biden, were away for a weekend at Camp David.
