On Sunday, Trump took to Truth Social to express his satisfaction over Reid’s show being canceled, remarking that the left-leaning network should compensate for the “unpardonable sin” it has committed against the nation.
“Lowlife Chairman of ‘Concast,’ Brian Roberts, the owner of the underperforming NBC and MSDNC, has finally found the courage to dismiss one of the least skilled individuals on television, the mentally obnoxious racist, Joy Reid,” Trump stated.
“Given her ratings, which were almost non-existent, she should have been let go quite some time ago, alongside everyone else at that network,” he added.
He also referenced other hosts on the network and the “damage” they have inflicted on the nation.
“Alex Wagner, the substitute on the faltering Rachel Maddow show. Rachel seldom appears because she’s aware that nobody is watching, and she also understands that her television persona is inferior to virtually anyone else on television, except perhaps Joy Reid,” he expressed.
“Then there’s the LOW IQ Con Man, Al Sharpton, who likely has the worst TV ratings in broadcasting history. How is he managing to remain on the air with Brian Roberts?”
“This entire corrupt endeavor operates as nothing more than an illegitimate extension of the Democrat Party. They should be compelled to pay substantial damages for the harm they’ve caused to our Country. Fake News is an UNPARDONABLE SIN!” he concluded.
Reid has been known for her strong anti-Trump rhetoric, asserting that Trump’s campaign for 2024 and his current administration exemplify “textbook fascism.” Additionally, she has accused White women and Latino men of voting “based on race” in the 2024 election, which she alleges ultimately contributed to President Trump’s victory.
The last episode of Reid’s show is anticipated to air sometime this week, with plans to replace it with a new panel featuring co-hosts such as Alicia Menendez, Michael Steele, and Symone Sanders Townsend, as reported by the New York Times.
