Trump claims that the ‘Employers of Millions’ are abandoning New York due to legal proceedings

According to former President Donald Trump, the employers of millions of people are leaving New York due to the ongoing trial proceedings and how he’s been treated in his current business records case and other court proceedings.

Trump criticized Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, accusing him of prioritizing his political ambition over the rule of law and the judicial system. He made these comments to reporters outside the proceedings in Manhattan, as reported by Mediaite.

He also launched attacks against Judge Lewis Kaplan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and New York Supreme Court 1st Judicial District Judge Arthur Engoron, both of whom have presided in cases involving him.

Kaplan oversaw columnist E. Jean Carroll’s charges against Trump, while Engoron presided over New York’s case against Trump on civil fraud.

Trump expressed concern about the situation in New York, particularly with the actions of Judges Engoron and Kaplan, calling their decisions “disgraceful.” He claimed that companies and people are leaving New York due to the ongoing cases.

Meanwhile, several of Trump’s allies, including GOP Reps. Matt Gaetz, Lauren Bobert, and Bob Good, criticized Judge Juan Merchan, the proceedings, and Merchan’s daughter at the Manhattan court on Thursday.

Despite being under a gag order preventing him from attacking witnesses, jurors, and the judge’s family, Trump’s supporters have been vocal in supporting him and criticizing the proceedings during breaks in the trial.

During one such break, Rep. Bob Good alleged corruption, citing the judge’s daughter as a leading fundraiser for the Democratic Party and calling the trial a “crooked sham.”
