Trump Confirms He Would Definitely Bring Peter Navarro Back

Former President Donald Trump expressed that Peter Navarro, his former White House adviser, could potentially have a role in his administration if he wins the November election. This is despite Navarro currently serving time in prison.

Navarro was convicted last year on two counts of contempt of Congress. One count was for failing to produce documents related to a congressional investigation, while the other was for skipping his deposition before the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.

In March, Navarro’s final attempt to avoid imprisonment was turn down by U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts, who refused to hear his appeal. Navarro expressed concerns about the potential impact of his sentence on the nation, regardless of political affiliation.

Navarro, who is currently two months into his four-month sentence, as reported by The Hill.

Trump stated to The Wall Street Journal, “I would absolutely have Peter back. This outrageous behavior by the Democrats should not have happened.”

According to The Journal, Navarro mentioned that he was not actively seeking a position in a potential new Trump administration, but would be willing to consider it “if the boss needs me.”
