Trump Criticizes Judges as ‘Animals,’ Questions Timing of Trials

The judges in former President Donald Trump’s numerous indictments and trials were criticized for rejecting a one-day delay for his mother-in-law’s funeral and strategically planning trials throughout the 2024 GOP primary cycle.

“I got one in New York,” Trump told his Indianola, Iowa rally on Sunday, which was aired live on Newsmax and simulcasted on the Newsmax2 online streaming platform. “My wife’s mother, who was an incredible woman, just died. And my wife is very devastated by that.

“And I have a trial going on, a fake trial, totally fake trial –– and we asked the judge if I could take a day off for a funeral of my mother-in-law, who was very close to me also.

“And he said, ‘no.’ Can you imagine?

“These are animals.”

Trump added that the timing of the trials is clearly an election interference effort, evidenced by the scheduling of trials on the eve of important campaign dates on the primary calendar.

“We can’t have a day off,” Trump said. “These are bad people. These are radical left lunatics that want to hurt me because they think it’s going to hurt me at the polls so that Biden can win an election.

“I don’t think the people are going to fall for it.”

Trump emphasized that there is “no rush” for the trials that are being brought only now after years of delay to impact the 2024 election.

“I’ve got one during Iowa. I got one during New Hampshire, the day before New Hampshire.”

Also, Trump lamented, the one on the 2020 election challenge brought in Washington, D.C., before Judge Tanya Chutkan comes the eve of Super Tuesday.

“She wants to trial to start the day before Super Tuesday and she says, ‘Oh, no, it has nothing to do with politics,'” he demurred. “Every one of them is the day before Iowa, the day before New Hampshire, the day before Super Tuesday.

“No, these are rigged indictments. This is a rigged Department of Justice, where we have radical left, bad people, lunatics. And we can’t let it happen.”

Trump vowed to be at former First Lady Melania Trump’s mother’s funeral, defying the judge in New York City: “I’ll be there. One way or the other, I’ll be there.”

“I’m going to that funeral,” he concluded. “And this judge, whatever he wants to do, let him do it, but we’re going to that. It’s a disgrace.

“These are very bad people. Very sick people.”
