Trump Criticizes Migrant Crisis: ‘The Cost, Both Financially and Morally, is Unacceptable’

The most recent campaign advertisement for Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, focuses on the issue of illegal migrants and the resulting crime and financial burden on American taxpayers. The ad highlights how illegal migrants are openly supporting President Joe Biden’s open border policies.

In the video, Trump remarks, “Millions of illegal border crossers have entered the country unlawfully from all over the world. They’re coming by the thousands. Nobody could afford this, and even morally it is so wrong.” The ad showcases scenes of migrant caravans and crimes committed by illegal migrants.

Immigration has become a key issue for Republican primary voters, overtaking the economy as the top concern. Trump concludes the video with a pledge to secure the borders and restore sovereignty, as shown in a campaign video posted on Truth Social on Saturday.

The video depicts defiant migrants crossing the border, engaging in criminal activities, chanting the names of their countries, and expressing support for Biden. Additionally, it includes images of Laken Riley, a slain Georgia college student, and her alleged murderer, highlighting the contrast between Trump and Biden.

Following his refusal to attend Biden’s State of the Union Address, where Riley’s name was mistakenly stated as “Lincoln” by the president, the Riley family and friends appeared at a campaign rally in Rome, Georgia, with Trump just two days later.

During the rally, Trump promised the Riley family, “I will demand justice for Laken. I will fight like never before to ensure that this tragedy does not happen again to anyone else.” He emphasized the need to prevent similar incidents in the future.
