Trump currently holds the lead over Biden in 7 key swing states, according to Bloomberg poll

According to the most recent Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll, Former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden in seven swing states.

Trump is currently ahead of Biden in Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, and Wisconsin in a hypothetical 2024 general election matchup, as reported by the survey.

The survey found that overall, 48% of voters across these seven states would support Trump, while 43% would support Biden.

Additionally, the poll revealed that 8 out of 10 swing-state voters believe that 81-year-old Biden is too old to be president, according to Morning Consult. This is nearly double the number of voters who feel the same about Trump, 77.

The survey also showed that a majority of Black voters, young voters, and women consider Biden to be too old.

Immigration is emerging as a significant issue, with the share of voters mentioning it as a key concern increasing from 9% to 16% since October. While 35% of voters still prioritize the economy, immigration is gaining importance.

In North Carolina, Trump holds a 9-point lead over Biden (50% to 41%), which is the strongest lead among the swing states. Trump narrowly won North Carolina in 2020 by just over 1 percentage point.

In the upper-Midwest, Trump’s lead is narrower. Biden trails Trump by 4 percentage points in Wisconsin and 2 percentage points in Michigan.

Trump maintains a 6-point lead over Biden in Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, all of which Biden won in 2020.

The poll also revealed that while 6 in 10 voters see Trump as dangerous, they are more likely to consider him mentally fit compared to Biden.

The poll was conducted online from Feb. 12-20 among 4,955 registered voters in the seven swing states, with a margin of error of 1 percentage point in all states.
