Trump Delivers a Message of ‘Success’ to the Bronx
Speaking to a deep-blue district in a deep-blue state, presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump brought a new perspective to his usual campaign rally speech on Thursday. He briefly shifted away from politics to talk about the importance of “success.”
“Because we have so many young people here today, I want to talk about success for a moment,” Trump said at a Bronx campaign rally at Crotona Park, which was aired live on the Newsmax2 online streaming platform.
“We are in the Bronx. We have young people who aspire to success, and I just wanted to take a break from politics and focus on success.”
Although Trump’s message did touch on the politics of competing in a district that heavily favored President Joe Biden in the 2020 election, he emphasized the importance of gaining and maintaining momentum, pursuing something you love, and how hard work can lead to luck in defeating your competition.
Trump shared, “The harder you work, the luckier you get. It’s a funny thing that happens: The harder I work, the luckier I get. If I hadn’t worked really hard, there is very little chance that I would be here now.”
He also reflected on his family and his father’s legacy, stressing the significance of loving what you do and finding something that you enjoy and that has potential for success.
Trump further spoke about rising to the occasion in tough times and how those moments can define greatness. He paused his speech for a few minutes as medical personnel assisted a woman in medical distress in the crowd before continuing.
He emphasized the need for momentum in achieving success and the importance of setting high goals and smashing them. Trump concluded by stating that his run for president again is not about himself but about making America great again.
Reflecting on the political and legal battles he faces, Trump expressed his determination to push forward and make the 2024 election too big to rig.
