Trump Hosting Dinner with NFT Enthusiasts at Mar-a-Lago

Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to have dinner with supporters who purchased his “Mugshot Edition” NFTs on Wednesday, as reported by Axios.

The dinner will take place at Mar-a-Lago while Trump is on a break from his trial in Manhattan. He is facing charges of falsifying business records related to a payment of $130,000 to his former attorney Michael Cohen. This payment was to reimburse Cohen for the hush money paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels, who claimed to have had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006.

Trump has denied all allegations and maintains that the encounter never took place.

The dinner guests are supporters who bought a minimum of 47 Trump NFTs, priced at $99 each, according to the reviewed dinner invitation from Axios.

Financial records show that Trump earned between $100,000 to $1 million from NFTs in 2022, as per Axios.

The “Mugshot Edition” NFTs feature Trump’s mugshot from his arrest in Fulton County, Georgia, last year on charges related to attempting to overturn the state’s election results in 2020.

Guests at the dinner will also receive a physical card containing a piece of the suit Trump wore on the day of his arrest, autographed by the former president.

Supporters who invested $10,000 to purchase 100 NFTs are invited to a cocktail reception before the dinner, as per Axios.

In 2022, Trump’s complete collection of digital trading cards sold out within 12 hours of launch, generating millions in revenue.

Next month, Trump will take another break from court to attend his son Barron’s high school graduation and participate in a fundraiser in Minnesota.

A spokesperson for the Trump campaign did not provide an immediate comment.
