Trump in South Carolina: Democrats Can Only Win by Rigging the Election
Former President Donald Trump claimed on Friday that the only way the Democrats could win the presidential election in November is if it is rigged, similar to what he believes happened in 2020, which he described as “disgraceful.”
Speaking at the Winthrop Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina, the day before the state’s GOP presidential primary, Trump held a rally that was broadcast live on Newsmax and also shown on the Newsmax2 online streaming platform.
According to the FiveThirtyEight polling average, Trump leads with 63.6% compared to former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s 32.9%, his only remaining challenger for the GOP nomination.
“If this election ends as a failed or rigged election, and the only way the Democrats can win is through a rigged election, because what happened in 2020 was disgraceful,” Trump stated. “Look at the consequences in our country. Wars that wouldn’t have occurred, inflation, and more. But during my leadership, the stock market saw a significant increase and inflation was almost at zero. With your vote, we will defeat Bidenomics and bring back MAGAnomics.”
Trump criticized the Democrat Party for spreading misinformation and disinformation, comparing it to the false claims of Russian interference during the 2016 election.
