Trump Insists Manhattan DA Has ‘No Case’ Against Him

Former President Donald Trump, facing arraignment in New York City on Tuesday, railed at an indictment from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, asserting there’s “no case” and an “impossible” prospect of a fair trial in the matter.

In angry messages on Truth Social late Sunday, Trump blasted Bragg and New York Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan — demanding a change in venue and presiding jurist.

“The Corrupt D.A. has no case,” Trump wrote. “What he does have is a venue where it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to get a Fair Trial (it must be changed!), and a Trump Hating Judge, hand selected by the Soros backed D.A. (he must be changed!).”

Last year, Merchan presided over the criminal tax fraud case against the Trump Organization, with two companies within the organization found guilty of felonies related to tax fraud and falsifying business records.

Billionaire George Soros, a prominent Democratic Party donor, has insisted he does not know the Manhattan district attorney who charged Trump.

In his Truth Social comments, Trump also went off on the Department of Justice “working in the D.A.’s Office – Unprecedented!”

The charges against Trump will be unsealed at Tuesday’s arraignment, and are reportedly speculated to relate to Trump’s alleged hush money scandal involving $130,000 given to porn star Stormy Daniels and $150,000 to former Playboy model Karen McDougal as improper payments from the Trump campaign in 2016.

Trump is expected to deliver a speech after he returns to his Florida home, Mar-a-Lago, at 8:15 p.m. ET Tuesday, which will air live and in its entirety on Newsmax.

Trump also revealed his travels would start at noon Monday, when he’ll leave Mar-a-Lago and planned to be “heading to Trump Tower in New York.”

“On Tuesday morning I will be going to, believe it or not, the Courthouse. America was not supposed to be this way!” he wrote, declaring in a third message: “ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!”

Trump’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, told CNN on Sunday he expects to make a motion to dismiss any charges revealed in the indictment unsealed Tuesday.

“Whether you send the right or the left or you’re a supporter or detractor of Donald Trump, this should really bother you,” Tacopina said. “This should really shake the core of what we believe our justice system should be about. It should not be weaponized to go after political opponents.”
