Trump is ahead of Biden by 7 points in Arizona, according to Rasmussen Poll

According to the latest Rasmussen Reports poll released on Friday, presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden by 7 points in the swing state of Arizona.

In a hypothetical matchup today, 47% of likely Arizona voters would vote for Trump, while 40% would vote for Biden.

When other candidates are added to the mix, such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump’s lead narrows to 4 points with 41% for Trump, 37% for Biden, and 10% for Kennedy.

Kennedy has not yet qualified to be on the Arizona ballot in November. Biden narrowly won Arizona over Trump in 2020 by about 10,000 votes.

In the survey, Biden received a 43% approval rating from respondents, which is 5 points higher than the national average.

In the Senate race, GOP candidate Kari Lake trails Rep. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., by 3 points at 44% to 41%. Lake still needs to win the GOP primary on July 30 to secure the nomination, which is expected.

The top issues for voters heading into the election season are the economy (28%) and border security (23%), with abortion ranking third at 15%.

Regarding illegal immigration, 62% of respondents would support sending troops to the southern border to halt the influx of illegal immigrants, while 49% are against granting amnesty to illegal immigrants for permanent U.S. residency.

Rasmussen Reports conducted the survey with 750 likely voters in Arizona from June 11-13, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4 points.
