On Wednesday afternoon, Trump delivered on his campaign promise to prevent biological males from participating in women’s sports.

Before the signing, Trump addressed the audience, sharing the stage with numerous female athletes of various ages and Independent Women ambassadors including Riley Gaines, Payton McNabb, Paula Scanlan, Sia Liilii, Lauren Miller, Kim Russell, Kaitlynn Wheeler, Linnea Saltz, and Lily Mullens.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene were also present at the event.

“This doesn’t need to be lengthy. It’s all about common sense,” Trump asserted. “Women’s sports will be designated solely for women. The battle against women’s sports is concluded.”

9:37 AM – On Wednesday, President Donald Trump is expected to sign an Executive Order ensuring that biological males identifying as transgender females cannot participate in female sports teams under Title IX, thereby increasing pressure on educational institutions to comply or risk losing federal funding.

The order will also mandate a review of visas for all athletes entering the U.S. to compete, especially those identifying as the opposite sex in their applications, viewing this as potential “fraud.”

According to White House officials in a conference on Wednesday morning, permitting trans-identifying “women” to compete alongside biological women is “dangerous” and “unjust,” citing scientifically backed advantages that biological males possess over biological females, such as superior lung capacity and physical strength.

“Biological sex is a defining factor in athletic performance: adult males are inherently faster, stronger, and more powerful than females due to fundamental anatomical and physiological differences informed by sex chromosomes,” the American College of Sports Medicine stated.

Trump’s administration elaborated on their rationale.

“On his first day in office, Joe Biden signed an executive directive urging schools nationwide to permit students to compete based on their ‘gender identity,’” one official commented.

“This action is disrespectful to female athletes who expend significant effort to excel in their sport, only to be compelled to compete against biological men.”

Title IX, established in 1972, prohibits sex-based discrimination in any educational program or activity receiving federal funding.

Over time, compliance with Title IX by colleges has contributed to increased funding for women’s sports, garnering recognition for the rise in their popularity.

A recent report by the United Nations (UN) indicated that nearly 900 medals in women’s sports had been secured by biological males identifying as trans females.

The report also highlighted that as of March 30th, 2024, “over 600 female athletes in more than 400 competitions have forfeited over 890 medals across 29 different sports.”

“The transition from female sports categories to mixed-sex categories has led to a growing number of female athletes losing chances, including medals, when contesting against males,” Special Rapporteur Reem Alsalem documented.

Furthermore, the mandate allows women compelled to compete against biological males to take legal action against schools, a concern that White House officials believe should alarm potential offenders.

During his campaign, Trump promised to eliminate male involvement in women’s sports, reflecting the views of many Americans opposed to trans athletes such as Lia Thomas, a collegiate swimmer who achieved records while competing as a biological male who underwent male puberty.

“It’s a man participating in the game,” Trump told Fox News in October.

“Just ban it. The president can enforce a ban. It simply should not be allowed.”

On his first day in office, the president signed an executive order declaring the federal government would recognize only two sexes: male and female.
