Trump Leads North Carolina Poll with 54-Point Margin Over Haley and 57-Point Margin Over DeSantis

According to a survey released by Public Policy Polling, former President Donald Trump is leading the North Carolina Republican primary with 66% support. Following him is former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley at 12%, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at 9%, which is his worst showing in any poll for the North Carolina primary, according to Florida Politics.

Other candidates receiving support from voters include entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy at 4% and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at 3%, as per the Public Policy Polling survey.

Additional results from the poll show that DeSantis is the only Republican hopeful for the White House, other than Trump, who is popular with primary voters. Trump has an 80/17 favorability rating, while DeSantis is at 56/28.

Interviewing 619 likely Republican primary voters Jan. 5-6, Public Policy Polling found that Trump received 81% support among those with only a high school education, while Haley received only 2%. Among those with a post-graduate education, Haley received 28% support, trailing Trump who received 40% support.
