The Trump Organization has formally declared on Friday that its leader, President-elect Donald Trump, will take a completely hands-off approach regarding the family’s business operations during his upcoming second term in the White House.

According to reports, the Trump Organization will donate “all profits it receives from foreign government patronage identifiable at its hotels and similar businesses,” and will refrain from entering into new contracts with foreign governance.
The newly established ethics guidelines are set to take effect immediately upon the commencement of Trump’s second term, aiming to mitigate any allegations of conflicts of interest.
“The Trump Organization aims to not only meet but significantly surpass its legal and ethical responsibilities during my father’s Presidency,” expressed Eric Trump, the incoming president’s second son and executive vice president of The Trump Organization.
“In testament to this dedication, similar to my father’s first term in office, we have introduced a range of stringent ethical standards, and appointed one of the nation’s most esteemed attorneys to oversee our company’s operations while my father commits to making America great again,” he added.
The Trump Organization has also designated attorney William Burck as the company’s external ethics advisor. His role will include evaluating any acquisitions, significant leases, debt restructuring, and local government dealings that the organization might pursue.
The Democratic party previously criticized Trump for opting not to place his assets in a blind trust during his first term, alleging a breach of the Emoluments Clause, which prohibits elected officials from accepting any monetary benefits from foreign governments.
The future 47th president will also have “limited access” to any financial data regarding his family business while serving in office.
