Trump’s Possible Vice President Candidates Speak Out on Conviction

Donald Trump’s potential vice-presidential candidates expressed their opinions on the former president’s conviction on Friday.

“Today’s verdict demonstrates the corrupt, rigged, and un-American nature of the weaponized justice system under Joe Biden and the Democrats,” stated Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., according to a statement.

“Don’t just be upset by this injustice, take action!” urged Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., sharing on X.

Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, encouraged voters to participate.

“You see [Manhattan District Attorney] Alvin Bragg and other federal prosecutors; they seem pleased today,” he remarked during an appearance on Fox News.

“I believe they will soon realize that their actions today have backfired. I’m receiving feedback from constituents across Ohio – they’re frustrated, angry, and asking, ‘what can we do,’ feeling powerless since this unjust prosecution is happening far away in New York. North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum stated that the guilty verdict would hold no significance on Nov. 5.

“This verdict will have no impact whatsoever,” he shared on Fox Business.

“It will not alter the election outcome.”

Senator Tim Scott, R-S.C., commented: “This was undoubtedly a scam, a deception. It was heartbreaking for the everyday American viewer,” Scott told CNN’s Abby Phillip on “NewsNight.”

“Even the ‘Never-Trumpers’ are now reaching out and joining the team. Donors who previously stayed neutral are now joining because Nov. 5th is a day of reckoning.”
