Two Confirmed Dead in Small Plane Crash – One America News Network

On Saturday, two individuals lost their lives when a small aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from a Georgia airport.

Emergency services were dispatched to the Covington Municipal Airport around 11:21 p.m. after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported they lost contact with the plane.
“Officers responded to Covington Municipal Airport at approximately 11:21 p.m. following a notification from the FAA regarding a single-engine aircraft that took off at around 11:00 p.m.,” stated the Covington Police Department.
“There was no further communication from the aircraft after takeoff. Officers found the aircraft in the woods just north of the runway,” they added. “Two individuals were discovered with the aircraft and were pronounced dead at the scene.”
The FAA, in collaboration with the National Transportation Safety Board, is investigating the incident and has confirmed that the aircraft was a Rockwell Commander.
No details about the identities of the victims have been disclosed.
