12:32 PM – After their decisive 40-22 win against the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2025 Super Bowl, Eagles supporters filled the city streets on Friday to celebrate their NFL team’s glorious achievement.
The city even designated the day for festivities, closing Philadelphia’s city offices and public schools, anticipating participation from at least a million fans in the celebration of the franchise’s second Super Bowl title.
“We look forward to joyfully celebrating the Eagles’ victory as a community, and we hope that you do so safely and responsibly with friends and family,” stated the Philadelphia school district.
Eagles fans are well-known for their exuberance, as many had already taken to the streets the night of their Super Bowl win, causing damage to various city light poles and igniting bonfires throughout the area.
The parade commenced at 11 a.m., featuring over 15 Jumbotron screens where fans witnessed the team celebrate by lifting the Lombardi trophy on the float.
The festivities also included a 2 p.m. ceremony at the iconic “Rocky” steps by the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
This victory came as redemption for the Eagles after their loss to the Chiefs just two years prior, adding to the excitement for fans looking forward to taking on the Chiefs again next season in hopes of achieving a “three-peat” championship title.
The Eagles first triumphed in the Super Bowl in 2018, defeating the New England Patriots by a score of 41-33.
