Tyler Perry Studios President Steve Mensch Passes Away at 62 in Plane Crash – One America News Network

Steve Mensch, the president and general manager of studio operations at Tyler Perry Studios, tragically passed away in a plane crash at the age of 62.

Mensch lost his life in a plane crash in Florida on Friday night. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that officers responded to a single-engine, fixed-wing airplane accident on West White Dogwood Drive close to the intersection with US-98 in Homosassa, Florida.
A source close to the studios informed Fox News that Mensch was piloting a single-seat aircraft at the time of the crash.
He was declared dead at the scene, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
“We are heartbroken by the loss of our dear friend, Steve Mensch,” Tyler Perry Studios stated in a release. “Steve was a beloved member of our team for over eight years and held a special place in the Atlanta community. It’s difficult to envision the studio without his warm smile gracing our halls. He will be profoundly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this challenging time.”
Mensch had served as the president of Tyler Perry Studios since 2016.
As indicated in his LinkedIn profile, he managed the daily operations at the sprawling 300-acre studio lot in Atlanta, Georgia, recognized as the first major motion picture studio on the East Coast.
He is survived by his wife and three children.
