US Budget Deficit Rises 17% to $367 Billion Due to Calendar Payment Adjustments




The U.S. government recorded a budget deficit of $367 billion for November, marking a 17% increase from the previous year. According to the Treasury Department’s report on Wednesday, calendar adjustments related to benefit payments contributed to an increase in outlays by approximately $80 billion compared to the same month in 2023.
